Recontextualising songs, stories and musical traditions from the past to revive them for our present moment. Erin and Lachlan Heycox create intricate folk arrangements for banjo, guitar, violin and voice.

In crafting their songs and tunes, they draw on diverse sources including union songs, Old-Time banjo tunes and Celtic fiddle traditions. Growing up in rural Australia steeped in bushbands and balladeers ignited a love for all things folk, fiddle and old-time which Broken Creek have been using as inspiration for songwriting ever since.
