Moira Shire Council is currently developing an Open Space Strategy.

The purpose of the Strategy is to provide strategic direction for the future planning, provision, design and management of open space in Moira Shire through to 2035. This includes understanding and addressing the open space needs of the existing population and planning ahead to address the open space needs of the forecast community. This includes both the residential and employment community.

The project is currently in data-gathering phase, and is expected to be complete by April 2025.
