The public toilet facilities at Waaia Recreation Reserve will be reconstructed and positioned closer to the netball/ tennis courts, allowing for future expansion (Stage 2) which will provide change amenities for netball and tennis.

The current toilet block is non-compliant and is located on the eastern side of the Waaia Recreation Reserve. The toilet block will be demolished and replaced with a modular toilet block, similar to the design of the recently installed Wunghnu toilet block (image above).

Construction is planned to start during 2024.

Thank you to those who contributed to our Have Your Say opportunity to provide feedback on the Waaia Recreation Reserve (eastern) public toilet facility. Feedback submissions closed on Friday 27 October 2023.  From the feedback collected there will be no changes made to the project design.
