Stage 1 of the Yarrawonga Library, Events and Performance Precinct includes the development of a new Library building.

The new library will provide a state-of-the-art, interactive community space that is inclusive and accessible for all.

The development of a new building will deliver a variety of programs and activities for the community.

The Yarrawonga Library Development will include:

Modern library
Community event and exhibition space
Community meeting spaces
Commercial Kitchen / Cafe area
Storage facilities
Customer Service / Reception Areas
Two outdoor spaces

Current Works: May 2024, Contractors have successfully laid a new concrete slab for the first stage of the new library building, in the area adjacent to the Town Hall and Bourkes Hotel.

Updates

Tuesday 4 February 2025:
The foundation work for the new Yarrawonga Library, Events, and Performance Precinct is now complete. The next stage of construction will involve the installation of the structural frame, marking another significant milestone in the development of this modern community facility.

Once completed, the precinct will provide:

Meeting spaces for connection and collaboration
Access to technology and digital resources
A welcoming environment designed for community engagement and learning

Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.

Wednesday 9 October 2024:
Slab pouring is underway for the new building, sections 1 and 2 are complete, with only section 3 remaining.
The team is preparing for structural works to begin as soon as the foundations are complete.

Yarrawonga Library Community Fundraising Committee

The Yarrawonga Library Community Fundraising Committee, with Friends of the Yarrawonga Library aim to raise $230,000 to contribute towards equipment, furniture and fit out for the new Library.
