Barmah Community Emergency Plan - Expression of Interest

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Barmah residents to join a working group that will help shape a community-led Barmah Community Emergency Management Plan.

Community emergency management planning is invaluable as it builds the capacity and capability of communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.

By involving local residents in the planning process, it ensures that the strategies developed are tailored to the specific needs, strengths, and vulnerabilities of the community. This collaborative approach fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility, enhancing social cohesion and resilience.

This exciting initiative includes a two day workshop which will result in a Community Emergency Management Plan being developed.
