Council is inviting the community to have its say on the draft Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2022-2026(PDF, 8MB) (ESS).
The ESS has been developed to guide Council for improved environmental outcomes for both Council and the wider community.
This ESS has been structured around seven key focus areas that will guide Council’s actions over a four-year period.
Council has developed a survey to collect information from the community about how they already connect with the environment, what they would like to know more about and whether our draft ESS covers the key issues relating to environmental sustainability in the Moira Shire.
All survey responses received by Council by 5pm on Friday 27 May 2022 will be considered prior to adoption of the final Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2022-2026.

Long Term Target: Net zero greenhouse gas emissions for Council by 2050; and community to mitigate and adapt to a changing climate.
