Cultural Diversity Week is an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrating our cultural and linguistic diversity.
“People from all corners of the world call Moira Shire home. Multiculturalism is a core part of the identity and character of our communities,” Chair Administrator John Tanner AM said.
“Cultural Diversity Week is an opportunity to bring communities together to celebrate our diversity, and the theme for the week – ‘Our Shared Stories – Celebrating Together’ – invites people to weave a tapestry of vibrant experiences.”
“Moira Shire Council is proud to be supporting a number of Cultural Diversity Week events this year, delivered by community houses, arts hubs and learning centres. Come along and try your hand at Indian cooking, enjoy a morning tea while hearing from members of our diverse communities, or perform at Piano, Poetry and Pizzazz. There is something for everyone this Cultural Diversity Week.”
