A range of events and activities will be held on Saturday 26 January 2019 to celebrate Australia Day. Mayor Libro Mustica said everyone was invited to join in celebrations being held across Moira Shire.
"It is a time for us to come together and celebrate our rich culture and reflect on how we can individually and collectively play a part in shaping our future for the betterment of all," Cr Mustica said. "Events will be held in Barmah, Numurkah, Cobram, Tungamah/St James, Katamatite, Yarrawonga and Nathalia which includes the official presentations of the local Australia Day Award winners for 2019."

Events being held in Moira Shire –
Barmah
Beginning 8am; Jack Edwards Reserve, corner of Evans and Murray streets; free barbecue breakfast, award presentations and entertainment.
Numurkah
Beginning 8am; Newman Square, corner of Quinn and Melville streets; free barbecue breakfast, award presentations and entertainment.
Cobram
Beginning 10.30am; Civic Centre, Punt Road; free barbecue provided by Rotary Club of Cobram, award presentations, guest speaker and entertainment by Cobram Pipe Band.
Tungamah/St James
Beginning 8am; Lions Park, Boyd Street; free barbecue breakfast and award presentations.
Katamatite
Beginning 8am; Police Paddock, corner Foy and Beek streets; free barbecue breakfast, award presentations and activities.
Yarrawonga
Beginning 7.15am; Kennedy Park, Murphy Street; free barbecue breakfast provided by Rotary Club of Yarrawonga Mulwala, award presentations and entertainment.
Nathalia
Beginning 6pm; Recreation Reserve, Park Street; free barbecue, award presentations, guest speaker, entertainment and activities.
