Historic fifth term as Mayor for Cr Mustica

Cr Libro Mustica was elected Mayor of Moira Shire Council for an historic fifth term at a special meeting in Cobram on Wednesday.

No other councillor has served more than two consecutive terms as Mayor.

Cr Peter Lawless was elected Deputy Mayor; this is Cr Lawless’ second stint as Deputy.

Cr Mustica said he was extremely honoured to be elected Mayor again.

“Our past 12 months have been successful in many ways, however the next 12 months will be even better,” Cr Mustica said.

“I am inspired by the commitment of the many citizens who contribute their time to support the work of Council.

“The Councillors have formed a great relationship and I look forward to this continuing into 2022.

“It will be my pleasure and privilege to serve as Mayor of Moira Shire.”
