International Women’s Day – get involved
Published on 02 March 2022
People from across the shire will come together to celebrate the achievements of women within our community as part of International Women’s Day.
CEO Clare Keenan said International Women’s Day was an opportunity to recognise the invaluable contributions women make to all aspects of life in Moira Shire.
“Held in conjunction with the CWA, there are multiple events across the shire to attend over the next two weeks with delicious breakfasts, morning teas and lunches on offer as well as special guest speakers and activities to participate in,” Ms Keenan said.
“We are fortunate to have so many active and committed women here within Moira.
“International Women’s Day is a chance to acknowledge and celebrate these contributions.
“Importantly, these events are also an opportunity to encourage greater levels of equity and diversity both within our community and in positions of power.
“Limited seats are available to ensure Covid-19 safety requirements so make sure you secure your place now.”
