Moira Shire celebrates International Women's Day
Published on 05 March 2024
People from across the shire will have the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women within our community as part of International Women’s Day. There are several events being hosted by Country Women’s Associations, supported by Moira Shire Council.
“International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate, reflect, and think about what this day means to all of us”, said Administrator Suzanna Sheed AM.
“Within our region, we have women excelling in all sorts of ways and participating in our community. There are a number of opportunities to get involved this International Women’s Day with events throughout the week, ranging from movie screenings and pizza and tunes evenings, to guest speaker events.”
“This year as we celebrate International Women’s Day, let’s collectively inspire inclusion and forge a more equal and fairer world for women and girls everywhere.”
