Councillor Kevin Bourke tendered his resignation at the completion of last night’s Mayoral Election. Mayor Libro Mustica thanked Cr Bourke for his time at Council. “On behalf of Council, I would like to thank Cr Bourke for his contribution and dedication during his almost ten years as Councillor,” Cr Mustica said. “He has been a member of various committees during this time, perhaps most importantly chairing the Numurkah Flood Mitigation Committee. “He worked tirelessly for the betterment of all residents in Moira Shire and advocated strongly on behalf of Council." CEO Clare Keenan also expressed her sadness on Cr Bourke’s departure. “In the short time I have known Kevin he has impressed upon me his deep love for Moira Shire,” Ms Keenan said. “On a personal note, I want to thank Kevin for taking the time to teach me about the wonderful history of the western end of the shire and thank him once again for the beautiful Leucadendron flowers he gave to me. “I wish Kevin all the best in his future endeavours.”
