Council advises that the traffic management and road closures will be in place from 6:00am Saturday 21 October to approximately 5:00pm Sunday 22 October 2023 for the Ian ‘Woofa’ Davis Memorial Cycling Festival.
A Handicapped Road Race will take place on Saturday 21 October on the following roads with traffic management and reduced speed limits throughout the duration of the event:
- Woods Rd from Dunlop St to Cahills Rd;
- Old Wilby Rd from Cahills Rd to Channel Rd;
- Channel Rd from Old Wilby Rd to Whites Rd;
- Whites Rd from Channel Rd to Carmichaels Rd;
- Carmichaels Rd from Whites Rd to Boonahnoomoonah Rd;
- Boonahnoomoonah Rd from Carmichaels Rd to Hammons Rd;
- Hammons Rd from Boonahnoomoonah Rd to Yarrawonga-Wilby Rd;
- Yarrawonga-Wilby Rd from Hammons Rd to Tungamah-Peechelba Rd;
- Tungamah-Peechelba Rd from Yarrawonga-Wilby Rd to Boonahnoomoonah Rd;
- Boonahnoomoonah Rd from Tungamah-Peechelba Rd to Carmichaels Rd; and
- return back to the finish line on Channel Rd, Yarrawonga.
A Criterium Race will take place from 9:00am Sunday 22 October with the following road closures in place for the duration of the event:
- Bank St from Murphy St to Woods Rd;
- Woods Rd from Witt St to Bank St;
- Ely St from Witt St to Bank St;
- Coghill St from Witt St to Bank St;
- Murphy St from Hunt St to Bank St;
- Hunt Street from Murphy Street to Woods Rd.
All local residents and emergency services will have access to their properties throughout the duration of the events.
Council has approved these temporary road closures under Schedule 11, 10(1)(b) of the Local Government Act 1989. Please seek alternative routes during these times.
