How long does a planning permit take to issue?

The Council has 60 days to decide on your application. This does not include any requests for further information.

If you meet the requirements for a VicSmart Application Council has 10 working days to make a decision.

Once 60 days has passed the applicant has the right to ask VCAT to make the decision. 

If an appeal is lodged against the decision, the final decision will take considerably longer.
