Breastfeeding Support

Moira Shire Council offers free breast feeding support at the Numurkah Maternal and Child Health Centre for all residents across the municipality. 

Your breastfeeding journey is unique and we offer extra support and care to have a positive breast feeding experience.

Support includes: 

  • positioning and attachment
  • management of damaged nipples
  • assessment of milk supply
  • medications and breastfeeding
  • feeding support for multiple birth
  • mastitis
  • breast and nipple thrush
  • tongue tie
  • breast refusal
  • any other breastfeeding concerns, including formula use

  • weaning

Our team of experienced Maternal Child & Child Health Nurses and Lactation Consultants will support your breastfeeding journey.
