Live4Life
Live4Life Moira
What is Live4Life?
Live4Life commenced in 2010 in Macedon Ranges in response to a reported increase in anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicide amongst young people. Live4Life was launched in the Moira community in 2020.
The Live4Life model provides the means for young people, teachers, parents and the wider community to be better informed about mental ill health and how to be proactive in identifying the signs and symptoms of an emerging mental health issue before a crisis occurs.
Partnership Group
The Partnership Group for Moira Shire includes Moira Shire Council, Uniting, Berry Street, Headspace, and SalvoCare. This group drives Live4Life in the community and is critical to achieving collective impact. The following schools also participate in the Partnership Group: Nathalia Secondary College, St Mary of The Angels, Numurkah Secondary College, Cobram Specialist School, Cobram Secondary School, Cobram Anglican Grammar School, Yarrawonga P-12 and Sacred Heart College.
Crew Component
An important component of the Live4Life program is the Live4Life Crew. The Live4Life Crew function as mental health ambassadors, assist with events and drive key promotion messages in their schools and community. The Crew is supported by Moira shire Council and the Partnership Group.
